【摘要】:IMPORTANT—Certaintypesofsmokealarmscontainradioactivematerials.ThenationalrequirementsforradiationprotectiondifferfromcountrytocountryandtheyarenotspecifiedinthisInternationalStandard.Suchsmokealarmsshould,however,complywiththeapplicablenationalstandards,whichshouldbeconsistentwiththerecommendationsoftheNuclearEnergyAgency(NEA)oftheOrganisationforEconomicCo-operationandDevelopment(OECD).ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesrequirements,testmethods,performancecriteria,andmanufacturer'sinstructionsforsmokealarmsthatoperateusingscatteredlight,transmittedlight,orionization,andareintendedforhouseholdorsimilarresidentialapplications.Forthetestingofothertypesofsmokealarms,orsmokealarmsworkingondifferentprinciples,thisInternationalStandardshouldbeusedonlyforguidance.SmokealarmswithspecialcharacteristicsanddevelopedforspecificrisksarenotcoveredbythisInternationalStandard.ThisInternationalStandardallows,althoughitdoesnotrequire,theinclusionwithinthesmokealarmoffacilitiesforthefollowing:?visualalarmconditionindication;?visualfaultconditionindication;?extendedtemperature-rangeoperation;?interconnectionwithothersimilarsmokealarmsoraccessories;?alarm-silencingfacility.Wheresuchfacilitiesareincluded,thisInternationalStandardspecifiesapplicablerequirements.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotcoverdevicesintendedforincorporationinsystemsusingseparatecontrolandindicatingequipment.SuchsystemsarespecifiedinallpartsofISO7240.
