【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardprovidesaframeworkforspecifyingthecharacteristicsandrelevanttestmethodsforpolymermodifiedbitumenswhicharesuitableforuseintheconstructionandmaintenanceofroads,airfieldsandotherpavedareas.Thisframeworkcoversthefollowingcharacteristics:"Consistencyatintermediateservicetemperature"(surrogatecharacteristic:penetration);"Consistencyatelevatedservicetemperature"(surrogatecharacteristic:softeningpoint);--"Cohesion";--"Durability"ofconsistency.Thecohesionpropertyhasbeenincludedasameansofdiscriminatingbetweenpolymermodifiedbitumensandotherbituminousbinders.Theotheressentialrequirements,"adhesion"and"settingability"areindicatedbytestscarriedoutonthefinishedasphaltmixtures.TheintroductionofclassesofconvenienceinTables1and2enablestheselectionofthemostsuitablespecificationforthebitumentakingaccountoflocalconditionsofclimateanduse.Thenomenclatureofpolymermodifiedbitumenscomprisesthepenetrationrangeandtheminimumsofteningpoint(seeexampleinAnnexA).
