【摘要】:Aswithconventionalradiography,radioscopicexaminationisbroadlyapplicabletoanymaterialorexaminationobjectthroughwhichabeamofpenetratingradiationmaybepassedanddetectedincludingmetals,plastics,ceramics,composite,andothernonmetallicmaterials.Inadditiontothebenefitsnormallyassociatedwithradiography,radioscopicexaminationmaybeeitheradynamic,filmlesstechniqueallowingtheexaminationparttobemanipulatedandimagingparametersoptimizedwhiletheobjectisundergoingexamination,orastatic,filmlesstechniquewhereintheexaminationpartisstationarywithrespecttotheX-raybeam.Recenttechnologyadvancesintheareaofprojectionimaging,detectors,anddigitalimageprocessingprovideacceptablesensitivityforawiderangeofapplications.1.1Thispracticeprovidesapplicationdetailsforradioscopicexaminationusingpenetratingradiation.Thisincludesdynamicradioscopyandforthepurposesofthispractice,radioscopywherethereisnomotionoftheobjectduringexposure(referredtoasstaticradioscopicimaging).Sincethetechniquesinvolvedandtheapplicationsforradioscopicexaminationarediverse,thispracticeisnotintendedtobelimitingorrestrictive,butrathertoaddressthegeneralapplicationsofthetechnologyandtherebyfacilitateit'suse.RefertoGuidesE94andE1000,TerminologyE1316,PracticeE747,PracticeE1025,andFed.Std.Nos.21CFR1020.40and29CFR1910.96foralistofdocumentsthatprovideadditionalinformationandguidance.1.2Thegeneralprinciplesdiscussedinthispracticeapplybroadlytopenetratingradiationradioscopicsystems.However,thisdocumentiswrittenspecificallyforusewithX-rayandgamma-raysystems.Otherradioscopicsystems,suchasthoseemployingneutrons,willinvolveequipmentandapplicationdetailsuniquetosuchsystems.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafetystatements,seeSection8andFed.Std.Nos.21CFR1020.40and29CFR1910.96.
